New Moon + Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius
There are less than three weeks left in 2020 (!!!) and we still have some of the biggest astrological moments of the year ahead of us. But by this point...you would expect nothing less, right?
Take a big, deep breath. There’s nothing to fear with what’s ahead. The final days of this year are jam packed, yes, but they are propelling us all, both collectively and individually, FORWARD towards our destiny.
On Monday, December 14th (exact at 11:16 AM EST) we have an incredibly powerful total Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Sagittarius. This is the first total Solar Eclipse we’ve experienced in over 18 months!
Because it’s also the final New Moon of 2020 and happening near the South Node...this astrology brings a moment of release and change. New Moons typically focus on building something, ahem, new, but this particular one is a time to give yourself space to let go and breathe. The power of the Eclipse alone will likely take the control, or at least the illusion of control, out of your hands anyway!
The energy surrounding December 14th (pay special attention to happenings between Dec 9th through 19th) will include major karmic endings and powerful, fated new beginnings. It’s a reset moment for all of us, forcing us to drop anything that isn’t in alignment with our true path and integrity moving into 2021.
It’s also important to note that this eclipse is in a conjunction with Mercury, indicating a major shift in the way we view our world and communicate with one another. There’s a trine with Mars, too, so you might find that there’s a need to take swift ACTION as a result of the information and ideas that come your way this week.
With that said, eclipses always bring the ~unexpected~ and in addition to the Mars square, there’s also a square to Neptune in idealistic Pisces. So there could be a lack of clarity or some amount of deception happening, too. Stay calm and be aware. There’s something going on that you might not be able to understand just yet.
Take some time this week to meditate on what you like about the person you became in 2020 and also note what you’re ready to release. Don’t put pressure on yourself to necessarily do anything at this exact moment...but pay special attention to what comes up for you.
