Happy 2020 to all of you! We spent some time reflecting on the past year; looking through photos of how Ritual Shoppe in Rittenhouse came to life. What a turbulent and exciting time it’s been. As we start to embark on a new venture—building studios and a community gathering space—we wanted to pay homage to this space.
Starting at the end of 2018 and into 2019, our new Ritual Shoppe baby was born. We underwent significant changes. From rebranding, to a complete storefront buildout, look-books, and new staff, it's been a wild whirlwind of a journey. It was important for us to take a moment and reflect on all of these trials and triumphs. We hope that our story can inspire and empower other creative entrepreneurs alike. We are incredibly proud of how far we've come and forever thankful to our community that has provided us with an unending foundation of support. We can't wait to see what the future holds! So without further ado, our 2019 in review...
Moving in required us to rethink the space. There was a lot of prior build out that needed to be taken down, fresh dry wall to be installed and then a glorious paint job to complete the transformation! The demolition process took 6 weeks and then we had to make the space work for us with custom structures...
Our most prized possession is Ritual's center table that showcases crystals, tarot, & everything in between. Here we are installing this custom-made bronze and glass table, hand-forged by our friend Patty Crash.
It's difficult finding displays that exactly suit our needs. Thankfully, this piece was custom handcrafted by the incredibly talented Carson Sio. and is perfect for our jewelry. Carson has been by our side since day one and helped in the building of our past two locations. We don't know what we would do without him. Thanks Carson!
Our iconic arches and display area was built by Jimmy Althouse. It was a blessing to have the opportunity to work with Jimmy and witness his creative ingenuity.
After our walls and arches were built, sanded and painted, it was time to place product on display!
What a glow up!
To stay on brand and bring the brightness outside, we decided to paint our storefront a striking bubblegum pink! This eye-catching addition helped us stand out on an otherwise neutral, yet very busy, street in Rittenhouse.
That beautiful and Instagramable neon sign? We can all thank Eric at Sky Neon Signs for that custom gem. We highly recommend him to anyone needing a neon sign and let’s be honest, who doesn't?
Ritual Shoppe is constantly growing and evolving, but our one constant is the strength and importance of our team. We're so proud of our crew of girls. Each one is a beacon of light that brings their own perspective, skills, and passions to Ritual. The store wouldn't be the same without them!
We have some very exciting news coming in the near future... so as always, stay tuned!
XOXO,
Ritual Shoppe
