It's time to get real with this week's Super Moon in Virgo
Hello Ritual Shoppe readers! Cosmic Lady Six here, bringing you some Astrological insights for this week's Super Moon in Virgo.
The Supermoon in Virgo occurred on Tuesday, February 19th at 7:54 AM PST and 10:54 AM EST at 0 Degrees.
Full Moons are an energetic time of emotional and physical culmination into something that has reached its peak. Once something peaks we tend to need to move on into new territory. Full Moons always give us an opportunity to let something go in our lives that are no longer serving us.
A Super Moon in Virgo at 0 degrees is a very important time to set intentions around releasing blockages to physical growth, whether this is with finances, work, health, or physical well being in your personal life.
This is a time to get organized, to examine where you are being realistic, idealistic, and unrealistic about the goals you wish to set for yourself. This is a time to get real!
An interesting thing to also note about this Full Moon is that we have also had the past 4 months a Full Moon at 0 degrees consecutively for the last 4 Full Moons which is not a common occurrence. We had a Full Moon in Leo last month at 0 degrees, a Full Moon in Cancer in December at 0 Degrees, and a Full Moon in Gemini in November at 0 Degrees.
These Full Moons at 0 degrees are all catalysts for new beginnings within these areas. The planetary rulers for these energies are Mercury, the Moon, and the Sun. We will also have a 5th Full Moon at 0 degrees in Libra the same day the Sun enters Aries which is considered the Astrological New Year. We also have a total of 4 New Moons also all at 15 degrees at the start of this year. So 0 degrees and 15 degrees are important degree points for the first 4 months of the year, and if you have any planets within your own chart at these degree points then these Moons will be affecting you the most.
Entering this next chapter of our year this week will serve to bring up a lot of emotional energy around our physical world.
As we have just entered Pisces season we will feel a lot of enhanced psychic awareness during this time, and a need to be sensitive and careful to the energy we surround ourselves with.
Pisces and Virgo serve as the rulers for the 12th and 6th houses in the natal chart. Pisces ruling the 12th house and Virgo ruling the 6th. The 12th house is the house of karmic healing, the connection to our subconscious realms of being, our dreams, art, spirituality and ethereal planes of existence. The 6th house connects us to the earthly realm of public service and health within our physical bodies.
Both signs are attributed to the need to be of service to the world, one is through physical service, while one is through spiritual service.
We benefit during this time of learning to combine the two in our lives at this time. Seeing where we can marry our physical and spiritual worlds in our own lives and how that affects our future selves moving forward.
During this Super Moon in Virgo, we may feel a boost towards getting serious with our goals, blanketed with some Pisces need for escapism. Fantasizing can sometimes help us see what we can do to change our mundane reality to be more in line with our goals, but it can also often lead to escapism where we can think we are making positive changes when in reality we are making excuses for irresponsible behavior.
Let this Moon be a catalyst for you towards getting yourself more in line with your goals and giving in to responsibility in a way that feels empowering, not suffocating. It's time to go with the flow while also taking control and responsibility of your life.
People who have their Natal Moon in Virgo tend to be overly critical of themselves and so we all may be feeling a bit extra hard on ourselves during this Full Moon. We may fall into a place of really dissecting what about our lives within the physical we are not happy with right now and what we need to do to align ourselves to meet our physical goals.
It is positive for you to ask yourself where you procrastinate or are unorganized and how you can set yourself up better in the months to come. There is less wiggle room moving forward for monkey business around work and your priorities.
A lot of us tend to focus so much on what we wish we had, we often do not focus on what we need to do to align ourselves to getting what we want.
If you are constantly focusing on what you wish you had but never changing your actions to get there, you will never create the life you wish to live.
Our habits culminate into a result, and just like karma, we are weaving our lives with every choice, action, and word we set into motion.
Virgo energy realizes this and has the capacity with the help of Mercury as its ruler, to dissect what needs to be done to push forward progress.
These are areas in your life you can focus on examining during the Full Moon in Virgo:
- Organization
- Financial Planning
- Cleanliness in your home and with your own body
- Fitness and physical health
- Getting serious about your daily routine and setting yourself up for success
These things can sound very boring for the Pisces dominant person as Pisces is the polar opposite of Virgo in wanting to escape mundane reality. It is important with all opposites that we learn to see what the benefits are of each side of the pendulum and how it contributes to our overall well being.
Another occurrence we will have on the day of the Super Moon is Mercury in Pisces making a harmonious Sextile to Saturn in Capricorn. This energy helps us to articulate our feelings in a more grounded way. Mercury is not comfortable in Pisces as it is considered its Fall, meaning it is weak in Pisces. Mercury in Pisces is gullible as well as elusive and easily deceptive. But this transit to Saturn can help Mercury tune in to its more psychic qualities and bring them down to reality. We may be able to see more clearly how to make our dreams come true, and how to articulate what we need to do to get there.
So what are some things you can do to use this energy in the most positive way?
Carve out some time on Tuesday to clean your house, desk, or work space. Get your diet and exercise on point. Write out a list of goals with a timeline. Pay off some debt. Make a vision board of where you see yourself in the next year. And do a meditation where you visualize all internal obstacles being removed from your mind, and openness to new opportunities put in its place.
Creative visualization during these transits is always beneficial for manifestation and the energy of this Super Moon will be responding to our wishes at a faster pace than usual.
I hope you all find time to prioritize ritual for yourself this week and I wish you many blessings for this Full Moon in Virgo, and as always, be careful what you wish for, as you just might get it.
